INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Dec. 18, 2014)– A Marion County sheriff’s deputy has been charged with rape.

A warrant was issued Wednesday for Deputy Craig Ryland, who faces a rape charge in Hendricks County.

Ryland was placed on unpaid administrative leave pending an investigation. The rape charge was filed on November 30, and a $75,000 warrant was issued for Ryland on December 17.

According to our partners at the IndyStar, Ryland turned himself in Thursday morning and immediately bonded out.

A restraining order and a no contact order have also been issued in this case.

Ryland has been with the Marion County sheriff’s office for seven years.
