INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Dec. 19, 2014)– Police say an Indianapolis homeowner shot at a pair of home invasion suspects Friday night, one of which was fatally wounded.
Officers were called to the 4500 block of Devon Ct. on reports of a home invasion around 9:20 p.m.
Police say two armed subjects made forced entry into the home. The homeowner then fired shots and the suspects ran from the scene.
Shortly after, 22-year-old Deandre Twyman showed up at Community East Hospital with at least one gunshot wound to the stomach. He later died at the hospital.
It was later determined that Twyman and another known suspect were involved in the earlier incident in the 4500 blk. of Devon Ct.
The homeowner was not arrested at the time of this release and is cooperating with detectives.

After detectives have concluded their investigation all investigative facts will be reviewed by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office for a final charging decision.
