ANDERSON – When it comes to life, a Colts receiver on Monday tried to boil it down to a simple choice.

“It’s either money or marijuana,” said LaVon Brazill in front of the media on Monday, when asked if he will fall back into the activity that got him a four-game suspension by the NFL for violating their substance abuse policy. “I know anyone of you would choose money any day.

“That’s gone and I’m choosing money any day.”

This statement was indicative of the five-minute media session Brazill help after the Colts morning walk through in Anderson on Monday morning. The second-year receiver took full responsibility for his transgression that led to his suspension for the first month of the season-and vowed many times not to do it again.

“I’ve got to keep working hard everyday and just put this in the past and work on my future,” said Brazill of the suspension.

In the meantime, the Colts appear willing to stick with the second-year receiver, who made 11 catches for 186 yards and a touchdown in his rookie season in 2012.

“They still was with me, they know it was my mistake, I shouldn’t have did that but they are still with me, they say I’m a talented player and they are going to stay with me and we’re just going to put this in the past and move forward,” said Brazill.

For the moment that will be done only in practice and pre-season contests since the suspension prevents Brazill from seeing regular season game action till October 6th when the Colts face the Seahawks at Lucas Oil Stadium. While the receiver vows to change his ways off the field, he plans on keeping with the same routines on it for the next two months.

“I’m gonna still come out here and work hard everyday, keep a smile on my face and prepare like I’m starting for the first four weeks,” said Brazill.
