INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 16, 2014) – Two people were shot, one of them fatally, on the city’s east side Wednesday morning.

The shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. in the 2800 block of North Gladstone Avenue.

When police got to the scene they found two victims in two different locations suffering from gunshot wounds. The first victim was unresponsive inside a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police later identified him as Ronald Howard, 29, Indianapolis.

The second victim was found responsive on the porch of a nearby house. He was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in serious condition with gunshot wounds to the left arm, shoulder and chest. Police later identified him as Jermaine Sisk, 31, Indianapolis.

Detectives have not yet released any information about possible suspects but do not believe this incident was a random act. Responding officers found what is believed to be narcotic evidence at the scene.
