INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Sept. 23, 2014)– A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train on the east side of Indianapolis Tuesday night.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police confirm the victim was found dead at the scene in the 6900 block of Pendleton Pike, about 100 yards west of Shadeland Ave.

IMPD says that it appears the victim was sitting on the tracks and that the incident was a suicide attempt.
