HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind (July 25, 2014) — Investigators in Hancock County have identified a body found near the Hancock-Marion County line Thursday night.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Department said the remains were those of Katrina L. Miller, 23, Indianapolis.
Her body was found in a cornfield at CR 350 North and CR 800 West at Carroll Road around 8 p.m. Thursday. The sheriff’s department said two young men were riding bikes in the area when they found Miller’s body in the field. They called 911. Investigators used fingerprints to make a positive identification.
An autopsy is set for Friday to determine the cause of Miller’s death.
