WASHINGTON — Kraft Foods is recalling about 96,000 pounds of Oscar Mayer Classic Wieners because the products may contain Classic Cheese Dogs in the Classic Wiener’s packaging.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service says the product labels are incorrect and do not reflect the ingredients associated with the pasteurized cheese in the dogs.

The products involved in the recall, are:

  • 16 ounce packages of individual consumer packages of “Classic Wieners made with turkey and chicken, pork added” with use by date of June 16, 2014, with a code of 044700000632.
  • Cases of 16 ounce packages, distributed to retailers of “Classic Cheese Dogs made with turkey and chicken, pork added and pasteurized cheese product” with a use by date of June 16, 2014, with a code of 00447000005300.

The products were distributed by Kraft distribution centers and are in retail stores nationwide.

Neither the FSIS nor the company have received reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
