(August 30, 2015) – The IndyCar community is rallying together to raise money for Justin Wilson’s family.
According to Racer.com, Devin Werig, the CEO of eBay, and IndyCar driver Graham Rahal, have united to auction off racing memorabilia. The money will go directly to the Wilson Children’s Fund.
In order to participate in the auction, fans can go to Justin Wilson’s website and scroll down to the third option that says, “Sign up here for exclusive information on the helmet auction.” Click “Sign Up for Updates,” and you’ll be prompted to register your email address to receive updates on when the helmets will be auctioned.
According to Wilson’s website, “drivers from around the world will be donating signed race helmets to be auctioned” and “100% of proceeds go to Wilson Children’s Fund.”
Rahal, who served as Wilson’s teammate in 2008, has a goal of raising $1 million for Wilson’s family.
